About Us
HypeVerdict is an independent testing project for mystery box and case-opening sites. We buy in with our own money, open the boxes ourselves, log every result, and publish what actually happened — not what a platform’s marketing team wants you to believe.
Why we built this
The mystery box niche has a credibility problem. Search for “best mystery box sites” and you’ll mostly find roundups written by people who have never opened a single box — rankings that are sold, RTP numbers copy-pasted from press kits, and “verified promo codes” that turn out to be expired filler.
We got tired of it, so we started doing the one thing almost nobody in this niche does: testing with real money and publishing the receipts.
Who we are
We’re a small, independent team that has spent years around iGaming, affiliate marketing, and online gaming. We know how box platforms work from the inside — how odds are structured, how payouts get slowed down, and where promo codes actually come from. That background is what makes our tests practical instead of theoretical.
We are not owned by, employed by, or funded by any box platform.
What we actually do
- Sign up like a normal user — new account, no special status, no partner backchannel.
- Deposit our own money — card and crypto, with screenshots of every step.
- Open boxes across price tiers and log every single result against the odds the platform posted.
- Test the money-out path — we time withdrawals from request to landing in the wallet, including KYC checkpoints.
- Stress-test support — live chat at odd hours, to see whether a human actually answers.
- Re-verify promo codes monthly and re-run full payout tests quarterly.
Every number you see on our reviews comes from this process. If a box’s odds don’t hold up against 30+ opens, we say so — publicly.
What we never do
- We never sell rankings or accept payment for a higher score.
- We never publish a review of a site we haven’t deposited into and tested ourselves.
- We never inflate a score to keep a partner happy.
- We never publish a promo code without checking it first.
How we stay funded
Running tests costs real money, so HypeVerdict earns affiliate commissions when you sign up through our links or use our promo codes. That never changes a score, and we write it out plainly on our How We Make Money page. If you’d rather visit a platform directly, that’s completely fine — our reviews stay honest either way.
What’s next
We started with LootKick and we’re expanding the test list. We’re also building a public test log — an open table of every open, payout, and withdrawal we run, updated as we go. No other site in this niche publishes its raw data. We will.
