Editorial Policy

This page is our rulebook. It explains how we choose what to review, how scores get made, and what happens when we get something wrong. If we ever break these rules, you have every right to call us out — and we publish the way to do that below.

How we pick what to review

We review mystery box and case-opening sites that accept real-money deposits and offer real payouts (product, cash, or crypto). We don’t review free-to-play apps that can’t pay out — that’s a different product.

A platform gets on our test list because readers ask for it or because it’s big enough that people should know what they’re getting into. Nobody buys their way onto the list, and nobody buys a score.

How scores are made

Every score follows the five-criterion methodology on our How We Test page: odds transparency, payout speed, customer support, deposit options, and value for money. The combined result is the Trust Score. If a box’s odds don’t hold up against 30+ real opens, that goes in the review — in writing.

Fact-checking and corrections

Affiliate links

Pages that earn us money say so — a disclosure sits right above the first affiliate link on the page, plus a site-wide disclosure in the footer. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" so search engines and users can see exactly what they are.

Responsible gambling

Mystery boxes are gambling-adjacent, and we treat them that way. Every review assumes an 18+ audience, links to our Responsible Gambling page, and never promises outcomes. No page on this site will ever tell you a box is “free money” — because it isn’t.

Complaints and corrections

Spot an error, an expired code, or a review that doesn’t match your own experience? Tell us. We read everything, we act on what checks out, and we publish corrections instead of hiding them.
